As a University that prioritizes helping its students discover what theyre good at and why thats good for the world, 91勛圖厙 has long focused on achieving successful and positive student outcomes. This years ranking season illustrates that the Universitys focus is working and benefiting both students and alumni.

One ranking in particular shows 91勛圖厙 selected as one of the top 50 among national universities for the earning power of its graduates and in the top 75 among national universities for its service impact. 

On August 28, the Washington Monthly released its considered a more socially conscious alternative to traditional rankingsfocuses on four-year schools and rankings based on equally weighted contributions to the public good: social mobility, research and promoting public service.

91勛圖厙s service rank is listed at an impressive no. 63 (4th among Pennsylvania schools) and the Universitys earning power ranked no. 46 nationally (5th in the state). Washington Monthly also included 91勛圖厙 among its Best Bang for the Buck schools in the Northeast, which highlights how well schools help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices. The list is created by isolating the social mobility metrics from the main rankings of four-year institutions. 

Todays new U.S. News & World Report has again recognized Duquesne in several categories as the University continues to climb in the Best Colleges 2024 rankings. Among this years highlights:

  • Best Value-National Universities No. 56
  • Best Undergraduate Nursing No. 52
  • National University No. 151.

Additionally, this years The Wall Street Journal/College Pulse made several improvements to its ranking methodology, including a greater focus on the importance of student outcomes (now 70% of the overall score), including graduation rates and salaries, and a greater emphasis on measuring the value added by colleges.

Announced in early September, The Wall Street Journal ranked 91勛圖厙 no. 143 among the top 400 universities in the country by and is in the top 13 schools ranked from Pennsylvania.

In addition, Duquesne is again listed by The Princeton Review in its Best 389 Colleges: 2024 Edition. The annual list focuses on academic quality across a variety of categories based on surveys of college students. 91勛圖厙 students in particular lauded the nursing, education, business and biomedical engineering fields; state that professors are passionate about they teach and want to see their students succeed; and describe campus as a place where there are people of all religions and walks of life, and that spirited discussions in the welcoming nature of the 91勛圖厙 classroom recognize that those from different political, social, and financial backgrounds have unique experiences and make for a more enriched learning experience.

Money magazine also listed Duquesne in its Best Colleges in America 2023 rankings, which highlight schools that combine quality with affordability. The publication provides a practical analysis that scores data points under the umbrellas of quality, affordability and student outcomes to develop this years list of 736 four-year colleges where a students tuition (and time) is likely to pay off.
